Few people know that South Tyrol is the Italian region with the most highest quality wineries in Italy. The south Tyrolean wine land represents only 1% of the Italian territory while the percentage of Italian top wines is 8%.
San Lorenzo Mountain Lodge offers to his discerning clients the most representative wine cellar od south Tyrolean wines with more than 140 different labels and bottles of rare vintages.
Thanks to an ongoing collaboration between Stefano and owners or winemalers of the most important local wineries, clients of the Lodge can enjoy the unique experience of visiting the vineyards and wineries on a private way in the company of the owner or winemaker himself.
The day starts with a visit to Manincor, one of the most representative winery, together with Helmut Zozin (winemaker) or directly with Count Michael Goess-Enzenberg.Â
Here the clients will discover the secrets of biodynamic cultivation and the philosophy that underline it. After tasting different wines, we will visit the winery Alois Lageder, one of the first scholars of organic cultivation. You will discover secrets, traditions and passions that are unlikely to be duplicated.
After lunch in the bistro of the cellar, we will reach the abbey of Novacella where we will walk together with the Director through the vineyards of the Valle Isarco. After we will go to the cellar to understand the processes of production and taste some delicious wines.
In all three wineries clients can buy wines.
